Kansas Emergency Energy Fund
This assistance program provides up to $100 for help with paying bills. Applicants are eligible to receive help once every two years. This program is administered by the Salvation Army.

HeatShare
Provides help paying towards your air conditioning and heating bills. Assistance can also be used for natural gas, electricity, propane, wood bills, or fuel oil throughout Kansas. If sufficient funds are available in any given year, additional grants are available for emergency repairs to hot water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, as well as other energy related equipment. Assistance may also be available for repairs to broken doors or even windows. The disabled and elderly are given priority when the funds are limited. Learn more.

Atmos Energy (Sharing the Warmth), Kansas City Power & Light (Dollar Aide)
They all offer help with electric and heating bills. The assistance is administered by your local Salvation Army office.

 

 

 

 

 

Kansas Gas Service
Gift of Warmth
Contributions from customers, combined with company donations, are distributed by the Salvation Army to qualifying families in Kansas to help them pay utility and gas bills. Learn more on Kansas Gas resources.

Kansas has received millions of dollars in federal government funding to increase the size of its weatherization energy saving program. Learn more.

Pioneer Electric Cooperative, Inc.
We Care
Both Trustees and employees on this Kansas cooperative participate in this program and they make a voluntary from each paycheck to this assistance fund. The money donated is then distributed to Pioneer Electric members who are in need of help with bills as a result of illness, accident, job loss, or other unforeseen event or difficult circumstance. The grants and funds contributed may be used at the family's discretion.

Westar Energy
Project Deserve Assistance
Offers heating and utility bill payment assistance up to $200, which can be provided once per year. Applications for this program can be picked up at the local Red Cross office. Click here.
